European College of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia

The primary objectives of the European College of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia (ECVAA) are:

  • To enhance the study and practice of veterinary anaesthesia, analgesia, and intensive care in Europe through dedicated research and by bolstering the proficiency of veterinarians in these specialities.
  • To devise guidelines and standards for postgraduate education, laying a clear path for veterinarians to achieve the title of  EBVS® European Veterinary Specialist in Anaesthesia and Analgesia.
  • To manage examinations and certify veterinarians as European Veterinary Specialists in Anaesthesia, Analgesia, and Intensive Care, ensuring they uphold the highest standards of care.
  • To promote communication, ongoing education, and the sharing of expertise in veterinary anaesthesia, analgesia, and intensive care among veterinary professionals and the broader community, emphasizing the importance of research and continuous advancements in these fields.
