European College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care

The primary objectives of the European College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (ECVECC) are:

  • To spearhead advancements in veterinary emergency and critical care, enhancing both research and the application of knowledge to elevate the caliber of emergency treatments and critical patient care within the veterinary community.
  • To lay down comprehensive guidelines for post-graduate education and specialization in veterinary emergency and critical care, ensuring veterinarians are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in this demanding field.
  • To systematically conduct examinations, qualifying veterinarians as  EBVS® European Veterinary Specialists in Emergency and Critical Care. This certification guarantees that they possess the advanced skills and expertise needed to provide exemplary care to animals in emergencies or requiring intensive care.
  • To foster a thriving environment of perpetual learning and collaboration. This involves curating and supervising continuing educational courses, championing cutting-edge research in emergency and critical care, and facilitating open communication and knowledge dissemination among veterinary professionals.
