We are looking for
A Small Animal Surgeon with both soft tissue and orthopedics training, to become the Head of the Service of our existing team. The Surgery Service is currently composed of an ECVS Diplomate Specialist, a senior surgeon, an ECVS resident, and two surgery interns. Our team has European specialists in different disciplines: ECVS, ECVN, ACVIM-Onco, ECVDI, ECVIM(IM), among the 72 professionals of its personnel.
The ideal candidate, would be an ACVS/ECVS Diplomate Specialist or exam candidate; however, those interested with extensive surgical experience are also welcome to participate in the process. This is a full-time position with the right balance of clinical practice, including orthopedic and soft tissue cases. Aúna is an European specialist residency centre and, as such, highly committed to the training of future specialists and clinical research. For candidates taking the board exams, a part-time position is an option before joining the team full-time as Head of Service.

Our facilities provide an excellent friendly work environment that includes two fully equipped operating rooms, 16-slice CT scanner, digital radiography, fluoroscopy, a complete set of HD Storz Video (rigid and flexible endoscopes), specific treatment rooms, ICU, cardiology and oncology spaces, separate circuits for dogs and cats, etc. We will soon start the construction of the new AÚNA 2.0 hospital, a 2000 m2 purpose-built hospital (with 10 consulting rooms, 5 operating theaters, 1.5T MRI, etc.).
