EBVS® European Veterinary Specialist in Bovine Health Management
He graduated in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Liège in 2005. After a short period in cattle practice in France, he joined the Clinic for Ruminants of the University of Liège (ULg) as assistant and performed a Master of Veterinary Science (MSc) in 2007 on the muskuloskeletal diseases in Belgian blue calves. In May 2008, he joined the Unit of Animal Genomics in the GIGA research center as a PhD student in cattle genomics. He worked on a heredo-surveillance platform “Rilouke” to manage inherited disorders in Belgian Blue cattle breed in close collaborations with vet practitioners and breeders. In October 2011, he started an ECBHM residency program at the Clinic for Ruminants (ULg). In July 2013, he defended his thesis (PhD) entitled: Contribution to the management of inherited disorders in Belgian blue cattle breed. In July 2018, he passed the ECBHM examination in Nottingham. In 2020, he took the head of the Clinic for Ruminants - ULiège. In 2022, he joined the E&R committee. In september 2023, he leaves the Clinic for Ruminants of the ULiège to join the cattle team of Clinique Vétérinaire Sud Mayenne: www.veterinaire-sud-mayenne.fr. Fields of interest: lameness, bovine surgery, cattle genomics and congenital defects
