EBVS® European Specialist in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia
University of Bristol veterinary graduate, with previous degrees in Biology and in Natural Sciences with Chemistry. Equine intern at the RVC after graduating 2006 and then Staff Clinician in Anaesthesia responsible for primarily equine and farm animal anaesthesia, including teaching undergraduates and post-graduates and assisting in research Cert VA (RCVS) in 2008 and then alternate track residency spending time at Zurich, Vienna and Ghent as well as Anglesey Lodge in Kildare Ireland. Moved to Hong Kong in 2014 into private small animal practice, which has now been taken over by CityU. Performs small animal anaesthesia and teaches veterinary students from CityU Veterinary School as well as assisting the Hong Kong Jockey Club, when necessary, performing equine anaesthesia or training House Officers in equine anaesthesia. Head of Veterinary Education and Research in the practice and liaise with the Vet School and supervise the clinical rotation teaching in the practice and actively run the anaesthesia rotation. Also in charge of veterinary nurse education as well as in-house and external CPD for vets. Have gained the PGCert(VetEd) and also FHEA. Built a team of 2 anaesthesiologist, 1 clinician and 8 nurses. Aiming to become a satellite centre and start a residency programme after approval. Previously spent 17-years in the UK Royal Air Force flying fast jets.
