Olivier graduated from Ghent University in 2000, and became a Board-Certified Radiologist in 2005. After his Residency he stayed at the same university to complete a PhD on ‘Morphological Imaging of the Canine Thyroid Gland’. In 2008 Olivier moved to Tufts University in Massachusetts. He was appointed Assistant Professor and later promoted to Associate Professor before joining DWR in 2013. He was head of service between 2014 and 2020, during which time he greatly expanded the imaging department to become the then largest veterinary imaging department in any private or academic institution ever. He left DWR in 2021 to start working as an independent consultant to Vet's Choice Radiology. His major interests are oncology and endocrinology and he has published well over 50 papers and several textbook chapters.
