Dr. Halwachs received her veterinary degree from the University of Leipzig, Germany, in 2003, and a doctoral degree in veterinary medicine from University of Leipzig in 2006. In 2014, she received the habilitation in Veterinary Pharmacology, Pharmacy and Toxicolgy (Dr. med. vet. habil.) and the corresponding lecturer certificate from the same university. Dr. Halwachs is German Veterinary Board certified Specialist in veterinary pharmacology and toxicology. In 2016, Dr. Halwachs joined MSD Animal Health in Schwabenheim, Germany, as Associate Principal Scientist, Chemistry & Molecular Pharmacology, in Drug Discovery.
