Davina Anderson graduated from Cambridge Veterinary School in 1989. She completed a PhD in cultured epithelial skin grafts in 1997 and trained with Dick White at Cambridge, becoming a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2000. She then worked part time at Cambridge as Lecturer in Soft Tissue Surgery and gained her RCVS Diploma in Small Animal Surgery (Soft Tissue) in 2003. In 2006 she set up a multi-disciplinary private referral practice in the South of England which grew to be one of the largest in the UK by the time she left in 2021. She has been on the ECVS examining board, was a Regent from to 2009-2012 and President. Currently she is Executive Secretary of the ECVS. She is a founder member and trustee of the British College of Veterinary Specialists and a Fellow of the RCVS. She has a wide range of interests in all aspects of soft tissue surgery, but particularly in wound management and wound healing, reconstructive techniques and abdominal surgery.
