There are no middle tier veterinary qualifications in Estonia.
Continuing education of veterinary general practitioners
Continuing education has been compulsory in Estonia since around the mid-2000s.
- Veterinarians have to be relicensed to practice on a 5-yearly basis and for this have to provide evidence of the continuing education that has been followed in the preceding period.
- Continuing education does not lead to further qualifications.
Veterinary education
- Estonian veterinary education takes place at the Institute of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Sciences of the Estonian University of Life Sciences in Tartu. - Veterinarians in Estonia can use the title of Doctor.
Membership Organisations
The membership associations in Estonia are Eesti Loomaarstide Ühing (the Estonian Veterinary Association) and Eesti Väikeloomaarstide Selts (the Estonian Small Animal Veterinary Association).
