Establish guidelines for post-graduate education, ensuring the elevation of skills of those practicing in aquatic animal health. Oversee the examination and certification of veterinarians as  EBVS® European Veterinary Specialists® in Aquatic Animal Health. Enhance methods of graduate teaching, particularly through residency programs in aquatic animal health. Promote research, advancements, and continuous learning in aquatic animal health. Foster communication and the dissemination of knowledge related to aquatic animal health to both veterinary professionals and the wider public.

European College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists

The primary objectives of the European College of Veterinary Ophthalmology (ECVO) are: To advance veterinary ophthalmology in Europe through focused research and by elevating the competency of veterinarians in this specialty, emphasizing comprehensive understanding and management of animal eye diseases. To set clear guidelines for specialization in veterinary ophthalmology, establishing a benchmark for excellence. To execute a rigorous examination process, certifying veterinarians as  EBVS® European Veterinary Specialists in Ophthalmology, ensuring the highest standard of care for animals with eye conditions. To champion continuous learning in veterinary ophthalmology by organizing relevant educational courses, keeping veterinarians abreast with the field's latest advancements. To prioritize knowledge-sharing in veterinary ophthalmology, fostering research and promoting insights beneficial to the veterinary community and the public.

European College of Veterinary and Comparative Nutrition

The primary objectives of the European College of Veterinary and Comparative Nutrition (ECVCN) are: To enhance the quality of animal health care in Europe by fostering research in veterinary nutrition and raising the expertise of veterinarians in this speciality. To craft guidelines and standards for postgraduate education, guiding veterinarians towards achieving the title of  EBVS® European Veterinary Specialists in Veterinary Nutrition. To administer examinations and certify veterinarians as  EBVS® European Veterinary Specialists in Veterinary Nutrition, ensuring they maintain the pinnacle of professional standards. To stimulate communication, continuous education, and the dissemination of expertise in veterinary nutrition amongst veterinary professionals and the wider community, emphasizing the vitality of research and the latest advancements in the field.

European College of Zoological Medicine

European College of Zoological Medicine (ECZM) Objectives: To promote research and elevate the proficiency of veterinarians in zoological medicine in Europe. To establish guidelines for post-graduate education, guiding the pathway to becoming a EBVS® European Veterinary Specialist in Zoological Medicine. To administer examinations and certify veterinarians as  EBVS® European Veterinary Specialists in Zoological Medicine. To advocate for communication and the distribution of knowledge about zoological medicine, emphasizing the essential role of ECZM members in matters related to health, welfare, and biosecurity in zoological care, management, and medicine.

European College of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia

The primary objectives of the European College of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia (ECVAA) are: To enhance the study and practice of veterinary anaesthesia, analgesia, and intensive care in Europe through dedicated research and by bolstering the proficiency of veterinarians in these specialities. To devise guidelines and standards for postgraduate education, laying a clear path for veterinarians to achieve the title of  EBVS® European Veterinary Specialist in Anaesthesia and Analgesia. To manage examinations and certify veterinarians as European Veterinary Specialists in Anaesthesia, Analgesia, and Intensive Care, ensuring they uphold the highest standards of care. European College of Animal Welfare and Behavioural Medicine

The objectives of the European College of Animal Welfare and Behavioural Medicine (ECAWBM) are: To elevate expertise in Animal Welfare Science, Ethics and Law (AWSEL) and Behavioural Medicine in Companion Animals (BM) in Europe. To be a leading referral resource in these two veterinary specialities. To refine health care emphasis on AWSEL and BM, informing owners, professionals, and authorities, including European legislative bodies. To champion specialized training and research in AWSEL and BM within veterinary schools. To certify EBVS® European Veterinary Specialists in AWSEL and BM to maintain utmost proficiency. To shape post-graduate education with structured guidelines. To drive continual advancements in AWSEL and BM, organizing related courses. To champion sustainable and responsible practices in AWSEL and BM for all animals. To prioritize research and knowledge-sharing in the field.

European College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation

European College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation (ECVSMR) Objectives: To promote research and heighten the competency of veterinarians in the multidisciplinary specialty of veterinary sports medicine and rehabilitation in Europe. This encompasses the comprehensive examination, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of sport and work-related injuries/disorders, utilizing a holistic approach central to which are controlled exercise, functional training, and various therapeutic modalities. To establish guidelines for post-graduate education, serving as prerequisites for becoming a  EBVS® European Veterinary Specialist in Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation. To conduct examinations and certify veterinarians as  EBVS® European Veterinary Specialists in Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation. To bolster communication and knowledge dissemination about veterinary sports medicine and rehabilitation among veterinary professionals and the broader public.

European College of Porcine Health Management

The primary objectives of the European College of Porcine Health Management (ECPHM) are to advance porcine health management in Europe by enhancing the health and welfare of pigs, ensuring the production of safe and high-quality pork products for consumers, and bolstering the economic profitability of the sector through expert care, all while respecting the environment for sustainable agriculture. The ECPHM has set benchmarks for  EBVS® European Veterinary Specialists in Porcine Health. The college is responsible for: Formulating methods for postgraduate teaching in porcine health management, primarily via residency programs. Training and qualifying professionals as specialists in porcine health management. Certifying veterinarians as specialists in the field. Setting standards for post-graduate education in porcine health. Championing advancements in porcine health management. Designing and offering continuous educational courses in the specialty. Encouraging research in porcine health and facilitating knowledge sharing.

The primary goals of the European College of Animal Reproduction (ECAR) are: To elevate expertise in animal reproduction in Europe, encompassing reproductive medicine, surgery, and biotechnology. To establish, train, and certify EBVS® European Veterinary Specialists in animal reproduction. To devise comprehensive post-graduate education guidelines essential for specialization in animal reproduction. To conduct examinations and qualify veterinarians as specialists to benefit the veterinary patient, owners, and the wider public. To promote research, knowledge expansion, and its dissemination in the field of animal reproduction.

European College of Small Ruminant Health Management

The primary objectives of the European College of Small Ruminant Health Management (ECSRHM) are: To advance veterinary expertise in small ruminant health management, encompassing sheep and goats, by championing research and elevating the capabilities of veterinarians in this speciality. To formulate guidelines and benchmarks for postgraduate education, ensuring veterinarians are on a clear trajectory to attain the title of European Veterinary Specialist® in Small Ruminant Health Management. To organize examinations and certify veterinarians as European Veterinary Specialists® in Small Ruminant Health Management, while fostering a consistent, evidence-based medicine (EBM) approach. To facilitate communication, continuous education, and the distribution of knowledge in small ruminant health management amongst both professionals and the wider audience, underpinning the significance of original scientific research and contributions to pertinent literature.
