The EU-JAMRAI (European Joint Action on Antimicrobial Resistance and Healthcare-Associated Infections) is a collaborative initiative bringing together EU member states and partners to strengthen coordinated efforts in tackling antimicrobial resistance across human, animal, and environmental health sectors.
As part of this Joint Action, we are conducting an EU-wide study to better understand the knowledge, attitudes, and practices of professionals whose work is key to reducing the spread and emergence of AMR in the environment. We are gathering insights from professionals across various sectors, including national authorities, antimicrobial manufacturers, healthcare managers, food producers (agricultural production, animal husbandry, and aquaculture), and wastewater managers.
The findings of this study will guide the development of targeted capacity-building interventions aimed at promoting best practices in antimicrobial stewardship through an environmental approach across multiple sectors within the EU.
