EBVS® European Veterinary Specialist in Small Animal Internal Medicine
Arne Güssow is a senior clinician in Small Animal Internal Medicine at the Justus-Liebig-University, Giessen, Germany (JLU). In 2011, he finished his studies of veterinary medicine at the JLU Giessen (national state exam) and started to work as a Doctorate and Graduate Assistant at the JLU. In 2017, he defended his doctorate thesis (reticulocytosis without concomitant anaemia and elevation of reticulocyte haemoglobin concentration [ChR] in dogs) and was approved as a German national veterinary specialist in internal medicine. After three years as clinical supervisor at the JLU, he decided to extend his training in internal medicine with a residency of the ECVIM-CA, which he finished in 2023. He currently works as senior clinician at the JLU in Giessen, Germany. Arne Güssow’s research interests are haematological diseases and clinical pathology as well as endocrine disorders. Arne Güssow is a member of the National Veterinary Society of Germany (DVG) and the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine—Companion Animals.
