Dr. Armando Cristian SANCHEZ LARA
United Kingdom
I was born and raised in Mexico, where I earned my veterinary degree from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). After completing my undergraduate studies, I undertook a rotating internship and residency at UNAM’s Small Animal Teaching Hospital, specialising in Small Animal Internal Medicine and Surgery. Following several years in private practice, I pursued postgraduate education in the United Kingdom, completing both an MSc and a PhD. I passed the statutory examination of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS), allowing me to practise in the UK, where I worked for over five years and completed a Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice through the University of Liverpool. I was fortunate to be accepted into the Residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine at the Queen’s Veterinary School Hospital, University of Cambridge, and subsequently attained the European Diploma in Small Animal Internal Medicine (ECVIM-CA). Outside of my professional work, I enjoy jogging, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and playing basketball. I also have a keen interest in travel, gardening, and woodwork—when time permits.
