
Dr. Susanne STIEGER-VANEGAS

Susanne Stieger-Vanegas received her veterinary degree from the University of Vienna in Austria in 1995. After working as a veterinarian in a small animal clinic in Vienna, she completed a doctoral thesis at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Vienna, Austria. Following graduation, she completed a combined diagnostic imaging residency at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Vienna, Austria and the Vetsuisse Faculty, University of Zurich, Switzerland in 2001. After the residency, she worked as a lecturer at the College of Veterinary Medicine at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences in Uppsala, Sweden. From 2003 to 2007 she performed a PhD focused on ultrasound imaging of tumor angiogenesis and using ultrasound to enhance the vascular permeability in the Department of Surgical and Radiological Sciences at the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of California, Davis. Since 2009 she has joined the faculty at the Carlson College of Veterinary Medicine at Oregon State University.
