After graduating in 2004 from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the CEU Cardenal Herrera University (UCHCEU), I obtained a doctoral scholarship granted by the General Directorate of Agricultural Research and Innovation and Livestock (2005). Then, I began my research activity at the Animal Technology Center (IVIA-INIA) in Segorbe, Castellón. Throughout the predoctoral period, my main line of work has been studying the epidemiology of zoonotic microorganisms transmitted to humans by food consumption, implementing the “One Health” concept that would mark the common thread of my research activity. After international research stay at the Agency for Veterinary Laboratories and Animal Health (APHA, Weybridge, United Kingdom) supervised by the researchers RH Davies and FA Clifton-Hadley, I defended my doctoral thesis with EUROPEAN MENTION on 10/23/2009 at the UCH-CEU, with the qualification of outstanding Cum Laude. That same year (2009-2010), I would join the same University as a full-time PDI. After my incorporation, I began a new research group as the principal researcher (2010) “Improvement in Food Safety in Productive System and its Products” (CAMPYSALMO), characterized by continued collaboration with the agri-food sector (more than 24 R+D+i research agreements), transfer (34 talks by invitation, 37 contributions in national congresses, and 26 international ones) and the training of students in the field of research and the relationship with private companies (10 doctoral theses and three more in progress). This line specializes in the control of zoonotic microorganisms and the development of alternative tools for antibiotics. From the search for these alternatives, we obtain an INIA-MINECO project (2017, RTA2017-00130000) and two European H2020 projects (H2020-EIC-FTI-2018-2020, H2020-RUR-2018-2020). Promising results in this field were received and are the basis for future research work in this field. From studies developed in international research stays, private agreements and projects have been derived 46 international scientific JCR papers, three international peer-reviewed papers, 45 dissemination papers, five books, and eight book chapters.
