EBVS® European Veterinary Specialist in Bovine Health Management
Ângela Dâmaso is a Veterinary Doctor, graduated in 2007 from FMV-ULisboa, completed her Doctorate in 2009 from VetMedUni Vienna, Austria, completed a Master's Degree in Ruminant Medicine and Production in 2015, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Veterinary Education in 2016 from the Royal Veterinary College in the UK. Since 2019 she has been a Diplomate of the European College of Bovine Health Management (ECBHM), a Specialist in Bovine Health Management by the European Board of Veterinary Specialists (EBVS) and the RCVS in Cattle Health and Production. She is also a VetSalus expert. Ângela has worked as a general practitioner in Ruminants and as a consultant in milk quality, calf health, control and eradication of infectious diseases in Portugal and the UK. She has over a decade of teaching experience in veterinary medicine, curriculum development, and scientific research at Universidade Lusófona, where she is currently an Associate Lecturer, and the Royal Veterinary College. Between 2018 and 2019, Angela also worked for the Animal and Plant Health Agency in the UK as a Veterinary Investigation Officer, expanding her experience in investigating and reporting diseases of livestock and wildlife species. Currently, Ângela collaborates on an international project to develop agriculture and animal farming, and train veterinarians in Angola, is part of the ECBHM Education and Residency Committee and is listed as an ESEVT Expert, contributing to the certification of Veterinary Education Establishments by EAEVE.
