Dr. Anne RELUN
France
EBVS® European Veterinary Specialist in Bovine Health Management
Anne Relun completed her DVM at Oniris in 2003 and worked in several veterinary clinics in France for four years. After earning a Master's degree in veterinary epidemiology, she completed a PhD in 2011 on the assessment of control measures for bovine digital dermatitis. She then conducted post-doctoral research at the French Agricultural Research Centre for International Development (CIRAD, Montpellier, France) and at UC Davis (California, USA), focusing on modelling the spread of African swine fever through pig movements.
She became a Diplomate of the European College of Bovine Health Management (ECBHM) in 2019, where she has actively contributed to the Examination Committee.
Since 2018, she has been an Associate Professor in cattle medicine at Oniris. Her responsibilities include teaching cattle medicine and surgery, providing clinical services for referred animals and herds, and conducting research. Her current research focuses on evaluating innovative methods for detecting and controlling endemic diseases—particularly cattle lameness—through field-based epidemiological studies.
Keywords that define her work are animal, human, and environmental well-being, enthusiasm, and teamwork.
