Martin Tomlinson (BVMS, Dip. ECBHM,PGCAP, MRCVS) is a European Veterinary Specialist in Bovine Health Management and RCVS Specialist in Cattle Health and Production.He currently works as Techincal Services Veterinary Consultant for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region of Genus ABS. He holds an associate Clinician post in Production Animal Health at the Scottish Centre for Production Animal Health and Food Safety, University of Glasgow. He has extensive expertise in dairy and beef production and provides consultancy services to farms and industry bodies at the forefront of production efficiency. He has worked across the governmental, academic, clinical and industry veterinary sectors and has published in the application of technology and further diagnostics tools to aid in the prediction of current and future fertility parameters in cattle as well as assessing management system failures and disease breakdowns. His current collaborations include obstacles surrounding appropriate use of antimicrobials and the use of on farm sensor technology to assess cow health risk factors. He is currently supervising Masters, and Resident students as part of the European College of Bovine Health Management of which he sits on the credentials committee. He is veterinary consult to the Salers Cattle Society UK.
