Upon graduating from Bristol University in 2006, I worked in mixed practice for 10 months and then spent the next two years working in general equine and stud-based practices in Australia and Ireland. I completed a six-month surgical internship at Scone Equine Hospital (Australia) in 2009 and finished a rotating Rossdales Equine Hospital internship in July 2011. Following this I completed a three-year veterinary anaesthesia residency at Murdoch University (Australia) in August 2015 and a research masters in February 2016. I passed the European College of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia diploma exams in November 2018 and the UCD Professional University Teaching and Learning Diploma in May 2021. Since September 2016 I have been working as a clinical anaesthetist at UCD Veterinary Hospital.
