Dr. Magdalena Parys is originally from Poland, graduating from the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, Poland. She moved to Michigan State University and spent two years working at the Centre for Comparative Oncology as an international fellow and intern. Subsequently, she completed a Medical Oncology Internship at the University of Guelph in Canada. In 2013 she returned to the USA to start a combined Residency and Masters programme in Radiation Oncology at Purdue University. In 2016 Magdalena joined the R(D)SVS as a Lecturer in Oncology and is currently a Senior Lecturer in Oncology. She is interested in new methods of controlling and eradicating cancer using radiation therapy and a multimodal approach to cancer in companion animals.
