EBVS® European Specialist in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia
I graduated with honours from the University of Milan in 2000 with a research thesis on EGUS (Equine Gastric Ulcer Syndrome) in racehorses. I moved to small animal private practice in 2002, where I developed a passion for ECC and anaesthesia, especially in critically ill patients. I started my small animal anaesthesia and analgesia internship at the University of Edinburgh in 2016, where I stayed a further year after my internship as junior clinical anaesthetist. I completed a four-year residency in anaesthesia and analgesia at the University of Glasgow in 2022. I then moved back to the University of Edinburgh as lecturer in veterinary anaesthesia and analgesia. In 2024, I did sit the board examination and became a Dip.ECVAA. I enjoy every aspect of anaesthesia in critically ill patients, balanced anaesthesia and multimodal analgesia.
