Shortly after graduating from the National Veterinary School of Nantes, Dr. Jean-François Quinton established himself as a practitioner in Paris. Genuinely interested in Exotic Animals, he began to treat them very early in his clientele, while attending regular expert training courses in specialized clinics in the USA. Soon after he started to teach and run regular consultations at the National Veterinary School of Maisons-Alfort, near Paris - from 1997 to 2007. In 2007, with 5 other boarded specialists he founded ADVETIA, a referral structure in which he heads the department devoted to NAC. The first clinic, located in the heart of Paris, was meant to expand and a comprehensive new establishment would follow: ADVETIA Veterinary Hospital and Referral Centre. The new facility is now located in Vélizy-Villacoublay, 10 minutes away from Versailles in West Paris. A graduate of the European College of Zoological Medicine (Small Mammals), Past-President of the veterinary study group devoted to Exotic Animals aka “GENAC” Dr. Quinton regularly gives national and international conferences at medical conferences and professional gatherings. He has published various articles in referenced journals and several veterinary books devoted to small mammals.
