With my team of four ACVR (Radiation Oncology) certified radio-oncologists, I have one of the most specialized radio-oncology teams in the world. We are complemented within the department by a strong medical oncology and oncological surgery team. Our new TrueBeam-Linac will be in use at Zurich Veterinary Hospital from mid-December 2023! This is the most modern device in Europe's veterinary medicine. The advantage of this highly innovative radiation device is the increased precision of the radiation. Of course we are skilled in high-end techniques such as IMRT / VMAT and treat a series of indications with stereotactic radiotherapy (SRT, SBRT). As a result, improved tolerability is seen for nasal cavity tumors, tumors of the anal sac, bladder and prostate, as well as liver and lung tumors. We are hoping for particularly great advantages for patients with inoperable tumors in the chest and abdomen, who have so far only had a cautious prognosis. Many of the "classic" treatment indications such as brain tumors, nasal cavity tumors, etc. ar nowadays treatable in often very few sessions.
