Graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Bologna with a thesis on "Hip Dysplasia in Dogs." He specialised in Veterinary Radiology at the University of Turin with a thesis on "Kodak Insight in Canine Thoracic Radiology." Resident Prize at the EAVDI/ECVDI European Congress, Murcia 2002, for best presentation on: “CT-guided biopsies in the skeleton. To date, author/coauthor of 292 scientific papers, of which 143 published in journals. Diplomate of the European College of Diagnostic Imaging (Dip. ECVDI). In 2011-13, member of the Board of the ECVDI College. Full Professor at the University of Teramo. He obtained the international certification of the GRSK as a scrutiner of hip and elbow dysplasia.
