Graduated in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Bologna with a thesis: "Hip dysplasia in dogs". Specialized at the University of Turin in Veterinary Radiology with thesis: "Kodak insight into canine thoracic radiology". Travel Award and Resident Prize at the EAVDI/ECVDI European Congress, Murcia 2002, as the best presentation on: “CT-guided biopsies in the skeleton. To date, author/co-author of 262 scientific works, of which 126 have been published in journals. Diplomate of the European College of Diagnostic Imaging (ECVDI). Editor and/or Co-author of the books: “Dog and cat radiology”, Poletto Editore, 2005, “Veterinary Computed Tomography”, Edited by Tobias Schwarz and Jimmy Saunders, Wiley-Blackwell, 2011, “First aid and traumatology manual in small animals”, Viganò, Elsevier Edition, 2013 and 2024, “Atlas of diagnostic imaging of dogs and cats”, Massimo Vignoli, John Graham, EDRA, 2022. President of the Italian Society of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging (SVIDI) 2001-2004. Contract professor at the University of Naples, 2007-2009. Lecturer 2007, 2008 at the School of Specialization in Pet Pathology and Clinics and 2008 to date at the Master of Oncology and Diagnostic Imaging at the University of Pisa. From 2010 to 2013, lecturer for the Master's Degree in Diagnostic Imaging at the University of Camerino. He received the academic title of Doctor of Veterinary Sciences (PhD) from Ghent University, in 2010. He participated in several PhD Committees as an international member of the University of Ghent and Liège. Member of various committees of the ECVDI College. 2011-2013 Member of the Board of the ECVDI. Full Professor at the University of Teramo. Graduated in Sports Science in November 2018.
