Marie-Odile Benoit-Biancamano completed a DVM at the University of Montreal in 2002, followed by a residency and MSc in veterinary pathology. She became a Diplomate of both the American and the European College of Veterinary Pathologists in 2006 and, in 2009, completed a PhD in pharmacy at Laval University and began working for Charles River Laboratories. She is currently a full professor and Director of the Département de pathologie et microbiologie of the Université de Montréal. Her research interests include studies on production insects (bees and others), juvenile animals and toxicopathology.
