Board certified veterinary and comparative pathologist (Dipl ECVP) (RCVS Specialist in Veterinary Pathology) and veterinary medical doctor (DVM) (MRCVS) working in the preclinical pathology area (drug efficacy and safety) in a collaborative matrix team in the field of regulatory (toxicological) and investigative (experimental and discovery) pathology. Focused on ensuring robust interpretation of pathology data from nonclinical studies to safely translate them into a clinical context to bridge the translation gap and ultimately increase knowledge of disease pathogenesis in people and veterinary species, increase knowledge of test-item class effects and spontaneous diseases in non clinical species and yield better patient-focused treatments. Demonstrated history in research conducted on the pathology field (MVM) focused on infectious and non-infectious conditions in European badgers (Meles meles), and external research collaborations focused on teratomas (rats), semi-quantitative histological evaluation and safety evaluation of cutaneous and subcutaneous medical devices (rats) and mineral phase changes during intervertebral disc calcification (dogs). Previous robust experience in diagnostic pathology (both anatomic and clinical pathology, respectively in academia and diagnostic laboratory) and academic teaching experience in the pathology area as FHEA (Fellow of the Higher Education Academy) and holding a PGCHE (PGCert - Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education).
