Dr. Denk graduated from Munich Veterinary School in 2006 and completed her pathology residency at Liverpool University. She is a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Pathologists and an RCVS Recognized Specialist in Zoo and Wildlife Veterinary Pathology. Between 2011-2021 she worked for the renowned Pathology Division of International Zoo Veterinary Group, focusing on diseases of avian, mammalian, primate, reptile and fish species. She has worked as a diagnostic pathologist and tenure track assistant professor for Synlab UK and the LMU Munich. Since 2022, Dr. Denk is responsible for all aspects of the pathology service of SeaWorld Abu Dhabi, working with a caseload exclusively composed of aquatic, zoo, and wildlife species. She continuously publishes in the field and regularly presents at national/international conferences. Dr. Denk has been a pathology advisor to the EEHV advisory group and is a TAG advisor for the penguin taxon.
