Carolina (Carol) Naranjo graduated from Veterinary School at the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (UAB), where she also obtained a PhD in Veterinary Medicine. She completed a 1-year fellowship on ocular pathology at the Comparative Ocular Pathology Laboratory of Wisconsin (COPLOW) under the supervision of Dr. Richard Dubielzig. She completed a 3-year residency program in anatomic pathology at the University of Wisconsin. She is a diplomate of both the American and European Colleges of Veterinary Pathology (ACVP and ECVP, respectively). She was assistant professor at the UAB and Universidad Complutense de Madrid, and managed a pathology service with a main interest in ocular pathology as a freelance. She joined IDEXX Laboratories in Barcelona in July 2015, with a special interest in ocular and periocular samples. She is co-author of several national and international papers and frequently lectures for clinicians in both local Spanish and international venues, including the William Magrane Basic Science Course in Veterinary and Comparative Ophthalmology.
