Since 2006, is the Program director of the ECVP residency training of the School of Veterinary medicine of Milan and has diplomated over 30 veterinary pathologists. From 2007- 2011, participated to the AFIP-WHO task force of lymphoma classification working group. Was awarded in 2007 and 2017 with the C.L. Davis Foundation Journal award for best veterinary publication of the year. Research focuses on mucosal immunology and oncology with a major interest in lymphoproliferative disorders and sarcomas in small animals. Diagnostic focuses are on immunopathology and dermatopathology of small animals. ECVP appointments include ECVP exam committee member and president (2002-2008), ECVP council member (2011-2014, 2020-ongoing); member and president (2017-2019) of the ECVP Admissions’ Committee; president of the Residents’ committee (2021-ongoing). Has authored and coauthored over 100 publications indexed in PubMed and has authored volume 3: Tumors of Soft Tissue (202) and coauthored volume 4: Tumors of Bone, Cartilage, and other hard tissues of the Davis-Thompson DVM Foundation.
