EBVS® European Specialist in Veterinary Pathology
ECVP Diplomate | DVM, Dr.med.vet | Veterinary Pathologist & Researcher
I am a board-certified Veterinary Pathologist (ECVP diplomate) with a DVM and Dr.med.vet degree. I completed a three-year residency in Veterinary Pathology at the University of Bern, Switzerland, where I later served as a Postdoctoral Researcher. My doctoral and postdoctoral work focused on resistance mechanisms of triple-negative breast cancer mouse models to platinum-based therapies, alongside developing clinically relevant experimental protocols under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Sven Rottenberg.
Beyond cancer research, I collaborated on digital pathology projects with the COMPATH team. After academia, I gained two years of industry experience as a Toxicologic Pathologist at BASF, where I evaluated numerous studies, joined the RITA and ESTP groups, and took on the role of RITA compiler for mammary gland pathology.
Currently, I am a Principal Scientist in Pathology at Boehringer Ingelheim Pharma, where I bring my expertise to the NDP group, continuing to advance research and development in toxicologic pathology.
