Prof. Frédéric Beugnet is graduated as - Doctor in Veterinary Medicine; - Master in Science in Human Parasitology, Master in Science in Immunology; - PhD in Parasitology & Parasitic diseases; - French Aggregation of Parasitology (i.e. University Professor) - French Habilitation as Research Director (HDR). - Diplomate of the European Veterinary Parasitology College (EVPC) as EBVS veterinary parasitology specialist. He spent more than 10 years teaching and researching at Vet Faculties (Lyon and Paris) and joined pharmaceutical industry in 2000. Still giving lectures and courses in Universities of Pharmacy, Veterinary and Medical Doctors in several countries. His research started in the 90’s on the nematodes and then quickly added the scope of arthropods and vector borne diseases. Since then, he is specialized in veterinary parasitology for dogs, cats and horses, antiparasitic drugs, modelling of flea and tick dynamics, and epidemiology of parasitic and vector borne diseases. Member of several parasitology associations, executive committee member of WAAVP, the world veterinary parasitology association, of French Society of Parasitology. Editor and/or reviewer in several scientific journals. Published > 450 scientific articles, book chapters and books in parasitology and vector borne diseases. Currently Head of Global Veterinary Technical Services for parasitology and pet parasiticides at Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health.
