Ezio Ferroglio graduated in veterinary medicine in 1992, then gained his PhD in “Epidemiology and control of zoonosis” at the University of Bologna in 1997. He is currently Full Professor of Parasitology and Parasitic Diseases at the Department of Veterinary Sciences and Director of the Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine School of the University of Turin, Italy. Since 1999 he has been involved in more than 80 research projects relating to the diagnosis, epidemiology and pathogenesis of parasites, vectors and vector borne pathogens of wildlife, livestock, companion animals and honey bees with a special focus on public health issues and zoonotic parasite. He is ranked in the upper 99% of Veterinary Medicine researcher in ResearchGates. He became a member of the European Veterinary Parasitology College in September 2003 and of the European College of Veterinary Public Health in July 2005 and since 2015 is President of ESCCAP Italy.
