Dr. Elena Pagani, DVM, Ph.D, ECVCN Dipl. graduated in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Turin (Italy), with an externship at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Utrecht (NL). In 2016, she completed the Ph.D. program in the Internal Medical Sector of the Department of Veterinary Sciences of the University of Turin, with an externship period held at UC DAVIS (California-USA). In 2021, she completed the residency program of the European College of Veterinary and Comparative Nutrition (ECVCN) and became ECVCN Diplomate. Main expertises are clinical and general nutrition of small companion animals. From 2016 to 2024, she served as the Manager of the R&D and Regulatory Affairs Department at Monge & C. S.p.A., a european leading pet food company, where she was responsible for feed material selection, wet and dry product formulations, scientific communication, and clinical studies. In 2024, she took on a new role as Innovation Director for Pet Food at DSM-Firmenich, where she leads the development strategy for the company’s new innovation portfolio in the pet food sector, with a particular focus on taste, the microbiome, and precision nutrition.
