Damiano Cavallini graduated with honors in Veterinary Medicine (2016) and earned a PhD (2019) from the University of Bologna. He is currently a Senior Assistant Professor, focusing on livestock nutrition, sustainability, and precision farming. His research interests include nutrition and feeding strategies for dairy and beef cattle, as well as equines, with an emphasis on optimizing feed efficiency and animal welfare. He also explores precision livestock farming technologies to enhance productivity and sustainability, veterinary toxicology, and feed and food quality and safety. Additionally, he applies modeling and statistical approaches in animal science and investigates innovative methods for education and teaching in veterinary and animal nutrition. He has a high publication record (ORCID: 0000-0002-1642-6722) and serves as an editor for multiple journals.
