Qualified from Complutense University of Madrid (UCM), Spain, before completing a masters in research in veterinary sciences. He then went on to complete a PhD in advanced imaging modalities for the diagnosis of equine head disorders. Following this, he undertook a residency in diagnostic imaging (large animal track) at the Royal Veterinary College, becoming a Large Animal Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging. He currently splits his time between clinical referral work in veterinary diagnostic imaging, and teaching and research as a lecturer in large animal diagnostic imaging at UCM.
