I graduated from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), Spain in 2006. Following graduation, I performed a Rotating Internship there and after some time in general practice, I returned to the UAB to complete a Residency in Veterinary Neurology and Neurosurgery between 2009 and 2012. On completion of my residency I moved to the UK and joined the Willows Referral Service as a Neurology Clinician. In 2014, I became a board-certified specialist and in 2015 I joined the Neurology and Neurosurgery team at the University of Glasgow where I was Head of Service for over 2 years and founded the Brain Tumour & Neuro-Oncology Centre for Companion Animals. In April 2022, I earned my Phd (cum laude) for my research characterizing canine glioma as a model for immune evasion in human gliomas. My clinical and research interests include diagnostic neuroimaging, neurosurgery, intracranial pressure estimation methods, and neuro-oncology.
