Maria Ortega LV, MSc, Dip ECVN, MRCVS EVBS® Specialist in Veterinary Neurology-Neurosurgery Maria graduated from the University of Zaragoza (Spain) in 2005. She them completed a one-year Internship in Veterinary Neurology at the Ontario Veterinary College (Canada) and a one year Rotating Internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital of the University of Barcelona (Spain). After some time in general practice, Maria started a residency program in Neurology and Neurosurgery at University of Glasgow and she was awarded her European Diploma in Veterinary Neurology in 2014. Maria is the Head of the Neurology/Neurosurgery Service of the AniCura-Indautxu Veterinary Hospital in Bilbao and she has occasionally worked as a locum clinician in the Animal Health Trust, Pride Veterinary Centre and private practice in Scotland. She contributes regularly to national conferences and publishes papers in international and national veterinary journals.
