Arianna Negrin, DVM, PhD, MSE, DECVN Dr. Negrin earned her degree in Veterinary Medicine with highest honors from the University of Padua in 2003. Between 2004 and 2006, she completed a Neurology Internship at the Royal Veterinary College, University of London, including advanced rotations across key medical and surgical disciplines. She subsequently completed a PhD through a joint doctoral program between the University of Padua and the Royal Veterinary College on Feline Inflammatory Central Nervous System diseases. From 2007 to 2010, she undertook a Conforming Residency in Veterinary Neurology and Neurosurgery at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (Spain). In 2012, she became a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Neurology (ECVN). Over the following decade, she worked as a neurologist and neurosurgeon in leading referral hospitals and specialty centers in the United Kingdom and Italy, and served as Honorary Associate Professor at the University of Nottingham, UK. In 2023, Dr. Negrin relocated to the United States, where she joined the University of Florida as Associate Professor of Veterinary Neurology and Neurosurgery. From late 2025, she serves as Founding Associate Professor at the Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine, Rowan University, New Jersey. Dr. Negrin is a multilingual speaker (Italian, English, Spanish, and Catalan) and a frequent invited speaker at international scientific conferences. She is the author and coordinator of several influential peer-reviewed studies published in leading veterinary journals on feline CNS diseases. Throughout her career, she has supervised and mentored numerous interns and residents preparing for board certification with both the European College of Veterinary Neurology (ECVN) and the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine – Neurology (ACVIM-Neuro). Her primary clinical and research interests focus on feline neurology and surgical neuro-oncology. In parallel with her veterinary academic career, Dr. Negrin pursued specific trainings within the College of Psychology. She also completed a postgraduate Master’s degree in Special Education, with a focus on inclusive learning strategies, the role of emotions, attachment, and cognitive development in the learning processes of children and young adults. She is particularly interested in translating these principles into veterinary academia, with the goal of fostering more supportive, emotionally informed learning environments for veterinary students and trainees. Outside academia, Dr. Negrin is actively involved in service within her local Catholic parish and is deeply committed to family life with her husband and lovely daughter.
