Thomas graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2016. He then moved to Canada to complete a rotating internship at the University of Saskatchewan before returning to the UK to complete a neurology/neurosurgery internship at the Animal Health Trust. Subsequently Thomas joined Dovecote Veterinary Hospital in 2018 where he completed a neurology/neurosurgery residency in 2021 shortly before becoming both an RCVS and EBVS® European Specialist in Veterinary Neurology in 2022. Alongside Thomas' clinical duties, he is actively involved in research and has completed a Master of Research degree on Myasthenia Gravis with the University of Nottingham where he also enjoys teaching and was awarded Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.
