Marco Ruggeri grew up near Lake Garda in Italy. He graduated from the University of Milan, College of Veterinary Medicine, after completing an internship at the École Nationale Vétérinaire de Maisons-Alfort in France. He has since worked in referral clinics and research centers across Europe, with a strong focus on neurology. Marco completed his residency at the Koret Veterinary Teaching Hospital in Israel and became a board-certified veterinary neurologist with the European College of Veterinary Neurology (ECVN). He is currently part of the team at North Carolina State University, focusing on advancing treatments and improving outcomes for animals with spinal cord conditions.
