Born in the city of Travnik, central Bosnia & Herzegovina. Obtained my veterinary degree (DVM) at the Veterinary Faculty, University of Sarajevo in 2010. Shortly afterwards, I moved to Vienna where I started my doctoral program in poultry infectious diseases at the Clinic for Poultry and Fish Medicine, University of Veterinary Medicine, Vienna, under supervision of Prof. Dr. Michael Hess and Assoz. Prof. Dr.med.vet. Dieter Liebhart. Following a successful thesis defense, I immediately enrolled in residency program within ECPVS. From 2019, I switched my career from academia to industry, stayed close to poultry research, health services, and various other activities.
