Marion Mucha studied veterinary medicine in Vienna (Austria) and was already involved in physical medicine as part of her doctoral thesis (Shockwave therapy for the treatment of hip osteoarthritis in dogs). Since 2002, she has been working at the Outpatient Clinic for Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation at the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna, which she helped to set up together with Barbara Bockstahler and now also heads. In the course of her clinical and scientific career, Marion Mucha has given numerous lectures in Austria and abroad and conducted research into gait analysis in dogs. In addition to additional training as a veterinary acupuncturist (CVA, IVAS International Veterinary Acupuncture Society 2004), Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner (CCRP, University of Tennessee in cooperation with Schlossseminare 2007) and Certified Veterinary Pain Practitioner (CVPP, IVAPM International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management 2016), she has been a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation (Dipl. ECVSMR) since 2018, where she is also active in committee work and in the board.
