Bernadette Van Ryssen graduated from Ghent University in 1988. She works as a professor of orthopaedics in small animals at Ghent University and in the private referral practice Heelix. Her special interests are lameness in small animals, arthroscopy and veterinary education. She is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences and regularly teaches courses on arthroscopy in small animals.
