Dr. Roberto Bermúdez received his veterinary degree from the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC), Spain, in 2001, and a PhD in Veterinary Sciences from the same University in 2006. He was awarded the Extraordinary Award of Degree and Doctorate. He actively collaborated in the Pathology Diagnostic Service of the Faculty of Veterinary (USC) and University Veterinary Hospital Rof-Codina, being responsible for it during the years 2006 and 2007. From 2007, he lectured at the Department of Anatomy, Animal Breeding and Veterinary Clinical Sciences (USC), conducting his research in the Unit of Pathology of the Faculty of Veterinary. He has authored more than 60 peer-reviewed articles, 200 abstracts and book chapters. He is also member of the editorial boards and reviewer for a number of specialized journals. As partner of the Unit of Pathology of the Faculty of Veterinary, he participates in several Research Project and Contracts with companies, for studying different aspects of several fish diseases (turbot enteromyxosis, aeromoniasis, rainbow trout gastroenteritis, scuticociliatosis, malformations, flavobacterioses, viral diseases…).
