A.Y. 2001/02: degree in Veterinary Medicine at the Bologna University and qualification at the veterinary profession, A.Y. 2007/08: PhD in "Epidemiology and Control of Zoonoses", A.Y. 2009/10: specialization in "Animal Health, Animal Farming and Zootechnical Production" at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Bologna. Since 2018 he is de facto Diplomate of the European College of Aquatic Animal Health (ECAAH) and since 2020 he is President of the Italian Society of Fish Pathology. Currently Associate Professor SSD VET06 "Parasitology and Parasitic Diseases of Animals" at the Department of Veterinary Medical Sciences of the University of Bologna, he is member of the Fish pathology Unit of the Service of Transmissibile Diseases and Veterinary Public Health. He is also member of the Scientific Board of the 1st level Master in "Aquaculture and Fish Pathology" of the University of Bologna. The main research topics are parasitic diseases of aquatic organisms and fish-borne parasitic zoonoses, within which he has assumed several professional positions in national and international research projects. He is co-author of over 200 publications and scientific communications related to veterinary parasitology, parasitic diseases of aquatic organisms and fish-borne zoonoses.
