A.Y. 1984/85: degree in Veterinary Medicine at the Bologna University with 110/110 cum laude, 1986 : qualification at the veterinary profession, A.Y.1997/98: PhD in “Parasitology and Parasitic Diseases of Domestic Animals”. De facto diplomate of the European College of Aquatic Animal Health (ECAAH). Currently full professor VET/06 Parasitology and Parasitic Diseases of Animals at the Department of Veterinary Medical Sciences (DIMEVET) of Bologna University. Responsible for the Service of Transmissible Diseases and Veterinary Public Health and for the Fish Pathology Unit of DIMEVET. Director of the Master in Aquaculture and Fish Pathology from 2013/14 to 2015/16. President of the Italian Society of Fish Pathology from 2004 to 2010. Responsible of Research Units in several projects financed by Ministry of Health, MUR, MiPAAF and European Union (6th Framework Programme and Horizon 2020). Coauthor of over 400 scientific papers and communications on veterinary parasitology, aquatic animal health and parasitic zoonoses.
