Studied veterinary medicine in Bucharest, Romania; graduated as valedictorian. Worked in private practice at Couvet Veterinary Clinic. Did a doctoral thesis at the University of Bern, Vetsuisse Faculty, Switzerland. Worked at EPFL, Lausanne, Switzerland, as technical specialist at the Center for BioMedical Imaging. Completed an ECLAM Alternate Residency at the AO Foundation, AO Research Institute Davos, Preclinical Services, Switzerland. Also worked there as Project Leader. Convenor of the FELASA Working Group on Farm Animals: Health and Welfare of Ruminants and Pigs . Animal Welfare Officer at the University of Zurich since 2018. Became an ECLAM Diplomate by examination in 2019 and a SVLAS (Specialised Veterinarian in Laboratory Animal Science) Diplomate in 2020. Past Member of ECLAM Examination Committee (2020-2021). Past Member of the Swiss Laboratory Animal Science Association (SGV) Scientific Committee (2019-2020).
