EBVS® European Veterinary Specialist in Small Ruminant Health Management
Associate Professor Angus Campbell leads the One Health Unit at the Nossal Institute for Global Health, a not-for-profit global and One Health consultancy company at the University of Melbourne. He is a livestock veterinarian and epidemiologist with over 20 years’ experience working in One Health, international agricultural development and livelihood security. He has worked in veterinary, agricultural and global health consultancy, research, and teaching in Australia and internationally. His global practice and research uses system-wide solutions to tackle problems spanning human and animal health, agriculture and food production, and the environment, and deliver these solutions more equitably and sustainably. He currently runs livestock and health development projects across Asia, and his work especially focusses on supporting rural livelihoods through better livestock health and management, disease threats between humans and animals, sustainable agricultural practices, and animal health and farm economics.
Prior to joining the Nossal Institute, he was Senior Lecturer in Ruminant Medicine and Production at the Melbourne Veterinary School, delivering clinical livestock medicine teaching to veterinary students, veterinary consultancy services to sheep and cattle farmers in south-eastern Australia, international agricultural development research, and farmer training.
