Dr. Athanasios Gelasakis (male) is an Associate Professor of Farm Animal Diseases at the Department of Animal Science (AUA). He holds a BSc from the School of Veterinary Medicine (AUTh) and a PhD in farm animal health and welfare from the same school. He has received a MSc in Public Health and he is a diplomate of the European College of Small Ruminant Health Management (Dipl. ECSRHM). He has participated in 37 national and international research projects and has published as an author 87 publications in peer-reviewed journals, three book chapters and >150 publications in conference proceedings.
