EBVS® European Veterinary Specialist in Small Ruminant Health Management
Teresa Navarro qualified as a veterinarian from the University of Zaragoza, Spain, in 2014. After a four-year period as a resident working at the Ruminant Clinical Service of the University (SCRUM), she successfully approved the exam to became a diplomate of the European College of Small Ruminant Health Management (ECSRHM), in 2018.
Followed this, she has developed her professional activity in the mixed veterinary practice, with a focus on farm animal medicine, including the work in Sheep and Goat Breeder Healthy Groups along the province of Aragon, but also providing productive and health advise for lamb feedlots and sheep dairy farms from Spain and Portugal.
During these years, she has combined the field activity with the research, especially focused in the area of ovine respiratory diseases. Her contribution includes several publications, including peer reviewed articles, national and international journals and presentations in scientific meetings. In addition, she is currently developing her PhD in stress indicators and immune response in lambs and is also an active member of the Spanish Society of Sheep and Goat Production (SEOC) and the ECSRHM.
From 2022 she collaborates as an associate professor in the Animal Pathology Department of the University of Zaragoza, in the speciality oft small ruminant medicine.
